Gas Turbine Ignition Systems
Ignition systems for gas turbine engines, made up of an exciter box, ignition leads and igniters. Alta specialises in non-radiative exciters in single or double configurations, which can be ATEX certified, with casing and cabling customised for turbines from 2MW to 90MW. Four exciter configurations are available: HD (high duty), DC (double capacitive), inductive and SC (single capacitive, 15kVac). Ignition spark leads cover capacitive and inductive systems, including explosion-proof cases, in a wide range of lengths and spark plug types. Connectors are supplied to SAE ARP 670.

Industrial Gas Analyser
Instrument for monitoring and controlling industrial emissions, based on electrochemical sensors with excellent selectivity for the target gases and simple calibration. It is fully flexible and can be configured with different sensors depending on the gas to be analysed. Unlike classical systems it needs no calibration gas bottles, and it can be used hand-held.

Solenoids
Custom-designed solenoids built on Alta's experience with LVDT and displacement sensor solutions since 1980, including special applications for harsh and space environments. Models include the DB winch brake (24 to 220V), DS retaining solenoid (12 to 24V), PLS door-lock solenoid (12 to 24V) and SLC/SLCV linear cylindrical solenoids (12 to 24Vdc or other values on request). Surface treatment withstands 1000 hours of salt fog, with self-extinguishing coil materials, PTFE wire conductors and 100% insulation and dielectric strength testing. Design and production follow VDE 580.

Transformers
Magnetic components built to order, supplied in a choice of constructions: resin-encapsulated, in shells or insulated containers, in metal containers, in oil- or inert-gas-sealed metal containers, or impregnated with resin or insulating paint, with PCB versions for most. Types include safety and isolation transformers (50 Hz to 100 MHz, up to 3 kVA, insulation up to 30 kV), audio and telephone transformers, signal and measuring transformers, impulse transformers, high-voltage (A.T.) transformers (8 to 20 kV, 1 W to 5 kW), toroidal power transformers (50 Hz to 20 kHz, 10 VA to 3 kVA) and toroidal measuring transformers.

Door Brakes
Electromagnetic door holders for fire doors, designed to hold doors open and release them when needed so that fire-rated (REI) doors can close and confine flames. Galvanised steel body and bracket, 24 Vdc at 0.07 A (12 Vdc and 48 Vdc on request), holding force 55 kg (540 N), with an interface connector fitted with a varistor for noise suppression. Conforms to EN 1155.
